Implementing Team System 2008

By Cory

In the next few weeks I’ll be posting about my experiences customizing the Team System integration with SharePoint, specifically MOSS 2007 Enterprise.

We’re working on revising our internal software development processes which includes the following components:

  • Team System 2008 (Bug tracking, version control, task tracking, etc)
  • MOSS 2007 (Internal sales process, reporting, client extranet)
  • Invoice processing (Integrating with an existing system)

We’ll hopefully be surfacing some of the TFS reports/information for client access on a separate SharePoint web application configured purely for external client access. Additionally we’re looking to integrate and synchronize the TFS tasks and comments into our existing invoice processing application to make simplify management requirements.

Right now our environment looks like the following:

MOSS 2007

  • Virtualized
  • Windows Server 2008 (64bit)
  • Team System Extensions for WSS

SQL 2008

  • Physical
  • Windows Server 2008 (64bit)

Team System Server 2008

  • Virtualized
  • Windows Server 2008 (32bit)
  • Web Access for Team System
